I recently purchased the above package which has stopped my email syncing on several occasion. I use BT email linked to Windows email which keeps failing to sync stating that the account needed attention/permission to sync/update password. Several weeks ago I had a very long and helpful conversation with a BT email technician who identified that the incoming and out going needed to be changed from yahoo to BT. We also changed my BT password. This seemed to sort the problem. I also attempted to speak to AVG put my call was cut off and the AVG operative failed to call back.
The problem has reoccurred today. My email password was no longer accepted. I changed my BT password but this made no difference. The root cause of the problem seems to be AVG antitrack… This programme has caused 2 problems (1) It rather annoyingly refusing to let me use the Google Chrome browser stating that the security certificate was out of date. I fixed this by disabling the tracking detection tab. (1) Regarding problems with getting BT to sync with my windows email. I appear to have sorted this by including the BT.com website in the allowed websites box. This has all been rather frustrating and time consuming. Would appreciate some feedback. What is the point of using a programme that has the potential to cause so many problems? (Email address redacted)
