I do have both downloaded but notplaced on my desktop

For some reason my avg won't recognise that i have purchaced a upgrade and i can't work out how to activate it

Terry, please type AVG Internet Security on Windows start and double click on the AVG icon to open it. If you are unable to open AVG program you need to uninstall it from the control panel and do a fresh installation (http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Download-and-install-AVG-Ultimate).

I understand the inconvenience. I see that you have AVG Ultimate (1 year subscription) valid until 1/1/2019. Do you see AVG icon and AVG PC TuneUp icon on your desktop?
