We regret for the inconvenience caused. Please check whether you have installed any other conflicting applications like McAfee, Avast, Norton etc… on your PC, If so please uninstall the conflicting applications.
If not, please click this link http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe to download and run the AVG Remover tool to remove all the traces of the AVG.
1. Please select the AVG products which are shown in the remover tool window and then start removal process.
2. After the remover tool process is successfully finished, restart your computer.
3. After the restart, manually delete the AVG Remover folder in the C drive of My computer.

We regret for the inconvenience caused to you, we suggest you to follow the same instructions to resolve the issue. Mostly this issue will occur only if older traces of AVG or conflicting security programs installed on your device.
Is there any other Antivirus program like McAfee or AVG Antivirus program installed on your system? If so, please uninstall it and then we would request you to run the AVG remover tool to remove all the remnants of the failed installation.

Now click this link http://www.avg.com/us-en/download to download your AVG program, run the downloaded file to start the installation process and follow the instructions on your screen.

Hey I tried to install AVG Ultimate (which I had just bought after years of using free AVG) and it doesn't install. After receiving the log in prompt it tells me there was an error: 0xE001FA02 and doesn't go any further.

Could you please let us know whether it is a trial version or a paid version of AVG you are trying to install? Did you try to run AVG remover tool as suggested above and experiencing the same issue?

- Once uninstalled download the installation file using the link : http://www.avg.com/download to reinstall your AVG program.
5. Run the downloaded file to start the installation process.
6. Follow the instructions on your screen.
7. Complete the installation and restart your computer.
