AVG unable to scan private Var folders

Hello, Shayne.
Please accept my apologies for the delay in responding to your query. Please be informed that "/private/var/folders/"is general location where operating system and various apps store their temporary and cache files. They should not be manually removed or changes as it can break application functionality. It's possible that AVG doesn't have permissions to scan the file, file is used by other app or doesn't exist anymore.

May I know which version of AVG app are you using? We suggest you to contact Apple support for help regarding issue with microphone and sound controls.

I am on an Apple iMac, running macOS High Sierra, version 10.13.2. Each day, AVG logs hundreds of entries detailing the following problem:

1/1/18 1:29:10.548 PM com.avg.fileshield[357]: SCAN '/private/var/folders/zz/zyxvpxvq6csfxvn_n00000y800007k/0/com.apple.nsurlsessiond/1E63E8DC1D830BBB0C56F20CBC3704604A8057D0/DC3F51CAF3D785369DE4869D3BA5416A7A05D00E/.dat.nosync0106.7Pjl4a' failed: 451 SCAN Engine error 1 Operation not permitted

Please note that the folders in question sometimes change. For example, for weeks it was the gr5lfk852sld72476btn_9lm0000gn folder, but when I copied the error message in preparation for contacting you: the following message displayed:

1/1/18 1:28:08.902 PM com.avg.fileshield[357]: Detected unmount of /private/var/folders/9t/gr5lfk852sld72476btn_9lm0000gn/T/ACB5BAD9-2F97-4979-B373-FDC6F3CBEC4B-655-0000055FC5767C9A

After this, it went to the error message you see above.

I tried deleting these folders to no avail. I dragged one set to the trash, where they sit permanently—nothing is able to delete them: not Onyx, Omni DiskSweeper, etc. I have changed the permissions (I was apparently denied access), but this did not help either.

Please note, that when I browse the Internet, I lose control of my microphone and the sound controls on my computer. I mute the sound, but it instantly goes back up, as if someone is listening, for what I don't know.

Obviously, I need some help! I look forward to hearing from you.
