Hello Kellan,
I would like to inform you that 17.4 is the latest version of AVG for Mac. You can uninstall AVG from your Mac as suggested in this article https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlName=How-to-uninstall-AVG-AntiVirus-for-Mac .
I have a Mac Book Pro El Capitan version 10.11.6
I have AVG Version 17.4 (9cf9975e9ca8)
I am having the same issues and other people, where I will uninstall the app and reinstall it but it still installs the 17.4 version. When I have followed the instructions to uninstall the 17.4 version from the finder and I right click on the AVG app and open the contents folder there is no uninstall app to click on. What am I suppose to do now? How am I suppose to get rid of the 17 infected files it had said it found before it stopped unexpectedly?
I have a screenshot but IDK how to upload it.
