Hi all. I need help desperately
The internet went down on my laptop( you tube and google work fine). The message told me to check my firewall settings and software (AVG). I noticed avg was still scanning from the day before. I tried to cancel the scan. That didn't work. I have used task manager to stop the program, no luck. I tried uninstalling. The error code 0xe001f921 appeared basically saying can't uninstall while update in progress. I turned off laptop multiple times. No error code message appears. However when the uninstall is taking place it takes forever. Finally it says uninstall failed. I'm currently running the repair option rather than uninstall . I'm an 1 hour in and no luck.
I'm I'm out of ideas

Yes, you can download the AVG remover tool from another device that has the internet connection and install run on the computer that has the issue.
Remove the traces of AVG Security program completely and check whether the issue persists.
i went through advanced settings and temporarily disabled the protection and firewall. Nothing has changed.
computer/web/software/email/ are all classed as unprotected . firewall is classed as 'error'. with the message 'firewall cannot start due to corrupted configuration. please create new configuration by clicking reset to default. i followed this but nothing happened.

The issue is AVG is affecting access to the internet. Therefore i can't download avg tool remover.
I started having issues with the avg firewall blocking access to certain sites. i ran a scan using avg. without me realising the scan lasted over 24 hours. The only sites i can use are google search engine and you tube.

I have aready tried to download the tool. But as i mentioned earlier AVG firewall is preventing me using the internet. I can't alter the settings on avg because of error messages and failures.
i'm not overly technical. is it possible to download this tool onto another laptop then transfer to laptop in question, using a portable hardrive ? or does the software prevent this?
