Hello Linda,
We are sorry to hear that. Could you please confirm whether you have tried the AVG remover tool on the article we have mentioned on our previous post? If not please try using the AVG remover tool if you are using the 2016 version of the AVG program. If you are using the 2017 version please try using the latest remover tool : https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/AVG2017/AVG_Clear.exe and check whether it resolves the issue.
Thank you.
I wrote on this page yesterday about my problem. I got an email fro AVG on how to finish the rest of the uninstall. Even after following instructions one area won't remove. The folder says AVG 2011 installed 11/2015. It has 4 folders and 19 files. I keep getting the same errors I received before going through all of the additional uninstall processes. I was told to hit windows key the R and type %appdata% this takes the to the C folder. It looks like it will remove then says I need administrator approval… I AM THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THIS COMPUTER. I get the following:
Auguix.exe - Application Error. The exception Breakpoint. A breakpoint has been reached 0x80000003 occurred in the application at 0x67e9ccd7 OR 0x6a4accd7 OR 0x66E8ccd7 OR 0x622accd7 THEN, I might get this UNEXPECTED ERROR CODE 0xe0010002 when trying to remove from the Program Files in the Control Panel OR I MIGHT GET AVG Diagnostic PROCESSES FAILED avguix.exe avguis.exe - Would you like to send a report. I have answered this about 15 times since yesterday.
I ran SCF Scannow today. Found several corrupted files and corrected. I never had this problem until I decided to uninstall AVG . I now have a really slow computer because of these errors. The are still showing up even after the SCF and locks my computer up big time. I need help to get back up. This is insane.
I did use installed and uninstalled the AVG remover twice (2016 and 2017) still did not remove all files. I finally came up with the idea to go in to the SAFE MODE of the computer then into Administrator rights. FINALLY I was able to removed 831 folder and files of AVG then ran sfc/scannow to fix any files. So now I am up. Sorry if I abused the thread but not used one before.
