Hello Jonathan,
I understand the inconvenience.
After recent AVG update, customer will receive notification as "AVG is in passive mode" when there are other security program installed on your PC.
The update was released to inform customers about the necessity of having a single antivirus program on their computer.
It is not recommended to have two security program running on same PC which might cause various issues for PC at any time.
We do not want our customers to lose any valuable data because of these conflicts with antivirus program.
The conflicting between antivirus program is the same from the beginning but it is our duty to inform customers about the seriousness of the issues that would occur, hence we decided to highlight customers through this update.
Do you have any of other third party antivirus like Malwarebytes or Norton or Avira installed on your PC?
After the update, it's been going into passive mode and each time i now have to use my tablet I have to restart it multiple times to make sure everything is working with AVG and sometimes this happens whenever I store my tablet away. Sometimes it just happens after a few hours after checking it for no reason. I need answers.

I do have Malwarebytes, but previous versions did not conflict with Malwarebytes. This is very annoying that this new update has to cause issues because of conflicting antivirus programs that I paid over 150 dollars for both. Also this screenshot I posted is also a problem that sometimes happens when I lock my tablet when I sleep and unlock it again when I wake up and I have to restart my laptop about 3 times to both fix this and turn off Passive mode and it is rather annoying.
Hello Jonathan,
Thank you for providing the screenshots. This is a known bug and I will provide you a new solution for that. Please go to Settings >> Application in Malwarebytes and near the bottom, under Windows Action Center, set the option to Never register Malwarebytes in the Windows Action Center.
After that, please open AVG > Menu > Settings > Update > update both virus definitions and product details. Restart your computer once and check if that fix the issue.
