Every day I receive POP UPs directly from AVG telling me that my subscription to AVG Protect is about to expire.
It started by informing me that I only had 198 days remaining and at 195 days the message changed to 'Act Now to ensure continued protection'.
I contacted Tech Support and informed them that I neither wanted or liked these messages.
They said uninstall and re-install all AVG Software which then screwd up my system but the Pop Ups continue.
I contacted customer care but it seems they can only pass me to Tech Support and why do I want to waste another 3 hours to acheive nothing.
I decided the only option was to leave AVG so I asked them to refund the unexpired portion of my subscription but they reused.
If they had told me that with more than 6 months to run I would recieve daily or twice daily Pop Ups trying to bully me to renew early I would never have taken out the subscription.
It appears that the reason I get these Pop Ups is that the card I paid with has expired and they want me to register another card despite having paid in full.
AVG has also informed me that the have canceled the 'Continuing Suport Programme' and that will stop thm automatically taking another payment!!!
This is a Company that states that they don NOT store card details!!!
I have informed AVG that I believe their behaviour is unethical and unwnted Pop ups are effectively SPAM and they do not give an option to stop receiving these very annoying messages.
I have advised AVG of the following actions I am taking:
1. I have contacted my Company's legal representatives and asked them to pursue AVG for the unused portion of my subscription.
2. I have made a formal complaint about unwanted messages to OFCom in the UK.
3. I plan to issue a Press Release about AVG's behaviour to the entire UK Computer media.
This post is part of my campaign to expose AVG and their efforts to thraten and bulyy me to provide new card deatils even though my subscription is less than 50% expired.
Unacceptable.

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and difficulties you have experienced. I checked with our records. Your AVG protection program is renewed till 2016.4.18. Have you activated the program with My Account details? I have also sent you an email with necessary steps to get additional support to fix this issue. We will definitely take care of the issue you are facing with AVG.
