Yesterday my Chrome browser stopped working; pages become unresponsive and cannot be "killed." Occasionally Chrome won't start at all. Chrome will not even load the settings page.
Checking Windows Event Manager, I found that immediately prior, AVG had updated and reported installation successful. The Chrome problem began seconds afterwards. Event Manager shows no other significant activity during that time period.
Uninstalling/reinstalling Chrome and AVG has no effect.
