Hi Malcolm,
We're glad to look into this & help you.
Initially, we'd like to clarify that the AVG consumer programs will not interfere with the network devices after an update or usually.
From your description, we're uncertain about the exact update that took place. Reason being, we're unable to find Driver Updater license in your account. Since, it isn't recommended to share the account/order info over this public post, we've sent you an email requesting few info.

The automatic AVG driver update happened and forced a restart of my server computer when I was fully booked with patients. My whole office system including patient intakes, front staff scheduling and payments, and my patient notes were shut down on all the workstations for more than 15 minutes. How do I set the time when the computer can be restarted after an update without creating havoc and hours of extra work into the evening for me having to enter all of the missed data created during that time and the time following that?
