I have the same problem- because I'm trying to install BitDefender software and it's telling me that it detects AVG Update Installer on my system, so it won't proceed with the installation. I've found other posts on your site here, saying that it's connected with the AVG Secure Browser- but that's bullshit, because I uninstalled that software a long time ago. I even re-installed it, then uninstalled it, like the posts from your colleague suggested, but it didn't help.
