AVG Update mechanism appears to be malfunctioning

Even if you install the stand alone version of AVG Internet Security it will get upgraded to AVG Internet Security with Zen Dashboard. I have purchased 3 separate AVG products:

  • AVG Internet Security (my home server)
  • AVG PC Tune Up (my home server)
  • AVG Internet Security - Unlimited (for my daughters)
About a 2 weeks ago I experienced an odd issue on my server, there was an update to my AVG Internet Security to a completely different product which was AVG Internet Security - Unlimited.
I took corrective action removed it and reinstalled the stand-alone version AVG Internet Security, and couple days later my server is updated with the Unlimited version again. I have never installed the Unlimited version on my server, and thus the update transactions are a malfunction of their versioning/update mechanism. Please correct me if I'm wrong?  I called AVG customer support and they wanted to charge me for assistance with correcting this issue. The stand-alone version of the AVG Internet Security product has been flawless, until now. Sunday I removed all references to AVG products from my server, and cancelled the subscription for AVG Internet Security - Unlimited version. Reinstalled the stand-alone product Sunday night, powered on my server Monday afternoon and by the late evening the AVG Internet Security - Unlimited had re-installed itself back onto my server.  I dig the product but this is unacceptable, please help?

Ralph, please be informed that the 2017 version of AVG will have same and advanced level of security to protect your system from viruses and threats.
The only changes is that the settings and the appearance will be completely different from the previous version.
