AVG update not working after Windows 10 upgrade

1) First step is to use AVG Remover tool and uninstall your AVG program completely. To download AVG Remover Tool please click on the following link:For 32-bit: http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/support/avg_remover_stf_x86_2015_5501.exe
For 64-bit: http://download.avg.com/filedir/util/support/avg_remover_stf_x64_2015_5501.exe
2) Run the downloaded tool and follow the instructions displayed on your screen.

I have been using Windows 10 Pro on the insider program. i recently upgraded to the newest build 10532. My AVG internet security has stopped working: cannot set firewall, Web,or email protection and cannot update. Any help please.  Should I just re-install program? I've had to do this before but before I do, is there anything I should do? I have restarted the computer several times since this upgrade, with no change.

I have the exact same issue. The removal and reinstallation does not work. Will AVG be addressing this issue or not? Just curious as the only resolution that has worked for me is to download and install a product from another vendor. What a shame.

  1. Your computer will be restarted automatically. After the restart, AVG Remover will finish the uninstallation.
    NOTE: Once the AVG Remover Tool has done with its process. Please go to the drive where you installed this tool and look for a folder named as "AVG Remover" and I request you to delete it manually.
