I am using 2017 version of AVG free----------------- it was a automatic update

I did as you asked  I uninstalled AVG from 'Control Panel' and installed AVG-AntiVirus- Free. I ended up with no antivirus program at all.

I received a update this morning after a long restart I found my installation had changed from 'AVG Free' to 'AVG Full protection' .    How did this happen?

Was the installation successful and do you not see AVG icons on your desktop?

May I know if it was a 2016 version of AVG free that you were using? Also, was that an automatic update that happened or did you have to allow it manually?

Thank you for the information. Please let me know if the AVG Full Protection shows as trial in your computer. A trial version of AVG Internet Security might have got updated in your computer.
