Maybe you may recognise the problems I have been having, my thread appears under "General Discussion" like yours. The problems I have had came along with the irritating AVG pop ups, please view this thread to see you are not alone, but you may not get any help from AVG. What can't they understand, when somone uninstalls their software, maybe it needs fixing, DUH !!!

Yes, Version 17 crashed my network also…a couple of things which worked for me:
In Settings - Components - Firewall
Select (tick) "Internet Connection Sharing Mode" and "Allow all connections with friends etc…"
Open System Rules lower down page
Enable "Allow Windows File and Printer Sharing"
Good luck…

since then I have been fighting to rebuild. First problem is I cannot communicate with the router without turning off protection.. Then unless I turn off protection computers lose connection.
of course like windows all the settings are set to different format, learn all over again where everything is.
Firewall has "friends setting" has my network IP range listed so it should be exempt from blocking.
any ideas
