I understand your concern. Please check if automatic updates in your computer are enabled. To check this please open AVG Internet Security, click on Menu->Setting->Update. Scroll down the page to check the updates settings. If automatic updates is disabled, please enable the same and check if that fix the issue.
For a few months now the only way I have to keep AVG updated to the last version is to entirely reinstall the software every time a new update notification appears. Automatic updating doesn't work anymore and even if I click to execute the single update it doesn't work, the process never completes and the software keeps to invite me to update the new virus definitions. Do you have some advise to solve this?

Obviously automatic updates were already abled. The issue is not fixed.
