AVG update on 3/10/2020. AVG required a restart.
After restart not only the password but ALL the my application settings, in "Firewall Options" > "Application Rules" were reset. ALL applications were set to "Auto Decide"; even the ones that I had set to "Block".
Please, Please, PLEASE, do NOT reset these settings.
Do you have any idea how long it takes to update 50+ application rules?!?!?!
Hello Tim,
For an AVG update, the password setting or any other settings of AVG should not be reset or altered.
We will check with our senior team regarding this as well as the icon getting created and get back you.
Your patience is much appreciated.
AVG Internet Security on Windows 10. Update on 3/5/2020.
1) AVG was password protected. Password has been removed by the update. Do NOT change settings when updating. Or, if you must, warn me about these changes
2) AVG did NOT have an icon on the Desktop. Update forces an icon on the Desktop. Please, Please, PLEASE do NOT place an icon on the Desktop if one does not exist. Or, at least, have the decency to ask me if I want one.
