No, I did not uninstall my current subscription - it would make much more sense that if you purchase a renewal it just updates the installation and removes the old one automatically, but not in this case obviously. Sending you the screen shot doesn't make sense to me as I typed out the exact message - the only difference is a box around the text ? I think I'll just make a note to uninstall 26th December and then try reinstalling it again. Seems easier than trying to resolve this now and potentially losing features I've paid for already - I believe I bought the same package with add ons, but not sure as technology changes so fast. Anyway, thanks for responding so quickly.
Kind regards
Sandra
I have AVG Tune Up on my computer which expires 26th December. I now renewed and upgraded this taking up a special offer at a 30% discount plus the upgrade to AVG Tune Up PRO which now expires 31st December 2017. I tried installing this and got the following message: "To install AVG Tune Up FREE, you must first uninstall your paid copy of AVG Tune Up. But please note that by uninstalling your paid protection, you'll lose all your paid features".
What exactly does this mean ? So if I uninstall, and then reinstall will I have the same features again ? This is a very misleading message as far as I can tell. I'm reluctant to install this now until my current subscription runs out in 3 months, but do I really have to wait for this before I can install the new license without losing out on anything I've paid for ?
Thanks for your guidance.
Sandra
Hello Sandra,
We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.
As per our record you have purchased the subscription for AVG Performance Multidevice (1 year subscription) and it expires on 31st December 2017.
In the description, you have mentioned as "please note that by uninstalling your paid protection, you'll lose all your paid features" which is the message that appears when you try to install AVG Performance program.
It is mentioned that you will lose all your "Protection features". Do you have the AVG Protection installed?
Did you uninstall the previous AVG PC TuneUp program before starting the installation of this Performance Program?
This Performance Multidevice doesn't have a license number. It's installation is only by entering the AVG My account credentials.
Your previous AVG PC TuneUp program uses the license for installation.
Yes, you got the logic correctly.
Your current AVG Performance Multidevice program will have the AVG PC TuneUp.
You can go ahead in removing the traces of your old program and install this latest AVG Performance Multidevice.
Please feel free to contact us if you need any assistance.

So are you saying, that if I uninstall my. current Programme and then install the new Pro programme I will essentially have the same I've always had plus the mobile device tune up element ? If that's the case I can uninstall. I'm just not sure because it said that I lose all my paid elements (whatever those are). As I said earlier, this message is rather misleading but it does sound that I'm actually just reinstalling the same features I already have plus a few more - correct ?
