Click on Menu->Settings->Troubleshooting->Uncheck "Enable AVG Self Protection Mode" and check the status.

A couple of days ago my usually quiet laptop (Dell XPS13) became a bit noisy so I tried to find the reason behind this. I discovered that AVG was making use of 50 or more of the CPU power at all times.
I searched the forum and followed a few steps (Uninstall - use the clean tools to make sure that there are no old installation present etc) and reinstalled AVG.
Two days later AVG updated itself and the problem came back.
Two tasks running in the background :
AVG Service 30%
AVG software Analyser 16 %
Can someone help me with this?
AVG Version is 17.6.3029
Windows 10 Intel core i7 - 7500
