I attempted to access files within AVG Vault this morning and my PIN number no longer works. I am 100% sure that I am entering the correct PIN.
This was the first time that I had tried to use the app since my phone was updated to Android 4.4.2 last week.
Has anyone else run into this issue?
Hey reinstalling the app do help
Hi Suzette,
You can unlock phone using web interface (https://www.avgmobilation.com/).
Please make sure your phone is connected to internet (wifi since new sim is not working).
Thanks
my phone just shut down without warning and I was unable to turn it back on until I took out the battery and put it back in, then it told me it was stolen and prompted me to enter a password I tried for hours to get back in and I was not able to get in, why is this happening to my phone? It is NOT LOST OR STOLEN. I have been trying to contact AVG since last night since they are supposed to have 24/7 help and up to now no one has contacted me, all I want is to remove their product from my phone, it is certainly more trouble than it is worth.
Thanks for your reply Mike … your feedback made me realize that it had nothing to do with a server or account issue on an AVG server.
I did the following to fix it on my phone:
1) Went into AVG Vault app settings, cleared data and cache
2) Opened AVG Vault app, when prompted for "new pin" I entered my original pin
3) Selected the option to log in with my existing AVG account
4) Linked the app to Google drive with my normal Google account
5) Viola ! It works normally again.
It looks like something that the app needs gets clobbered when doing a firmware update. At least it wasn't too painful to fix.
Have a great day !!
After I done a firmware update for my Zopo ZP980 (http://playfuldroid.com/zopo-zp980-specifications-and-price/), I face the same issue as you. But mine is only at Jelly Bean. Any other Zopo owners facing this issue as well?
