Hello, Mike.
We're here to help. Please note that the latest version of AVG does not have an option to install offline updates and this web site https://www.avg.com/en-ww/download.prd-gsr-free contains offline updates which are not up to date. Latest version of AVG checks for virus definitions regularly and install them automatically when a new update is available.
Let us know if it is a free, trial or paid version of AVG are you using and which version it is?
Hi.
Could someone with authority look into why the virus definitions page hasn't been updated in August 14th?
This is the page: AVG AntiVirus FREE | AVG installation files
Thanks.

Hi.
I'm using AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 2012 on Windows XP SP3.
I was not able to install later versions, e.g. 2013, 2014 and 2015, due to multiple BSODs during the installation process.
So to avoid that potential BSOD nonsense again, I've stuck with 2012 ever since. It was the only one that didn't crash my computer duing the install process.
Anyway, I've been manually updating the virus defintions for the 2012 edition for the past few weeks as Updating automatically suddenly stopped working, and now the virus definitions page seems no longer to be updated.
Thanks.
Mike, we've ended support for our older versions of AVG Anti Virus. Please visit http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=End-of-support-of-old-AVG-products for more information.
