Certain streaming services has taken counter measures to block its users from accessing its content through Secure VPN servers.
While we do continue to add new servers and ip addresses, they are quite fast to identify the same.
However, you can try connecting to streaming servers (location) such as Wonderland, Glassgow in AVG Secure VPN to check if it helps.
I have just installed AVG VPN and found that I am unable to watch BBC iPlayer because they block everyone using a VPN (not just AVG). Is there any way round this or can I disconnct the VPN temporarily whilst I watch the programme then re-connect it again without too much hassle?

Would you be so kind to try connecting to different networks such as wired, mobile hotspot to check if it's an issue with a specific network or irrespective of networks?
Additionally, you can change the VPN protocol to Mimic & check (Open AVG Secure VPN - Menu - Settings - Experimental - Mimic).
Thank you for your prompt response to my question. I had tried your suggestion before posting my enquiry; it didn't work! However, BBC iPlayer is not blocked on my smartphone so I can access it there (in miniature!).
