Hi John.
We regret the inconvenience caused.
Could you turn on VPN connection, disable the firewall component in AVG Internet Security and check if the issue is resolved?
I seem this issue on couple of different boards. None of the suggestions seemed ot work for me until I tried John Smith's work around of uninstall/reinstall in aspecifc order… Considering his workaround posted was over 2 years ago, Shame on AVG for not fixing this issue in over 2 years of time.
Since I restarted my computer this morning, all internet access is blocked when VPN is turned on. If I turn VPN off, access is restored.
I have tried changing location. I have also uninstalled/reinstalled VPN and all other AVG products.
Hi Jim,
We understand your frustration. This is definitely not the experience we wanted you to have & we're truly sorry for the discomfort this has caused.
Please write back to us in your own/new post, so that we can obtain further details, locate your account and further investigate this issue.
Thank you for understanding in advance!
Hi
I have followed your instructions and it made no difference. Still no access with VPN on.
However, I have already found that if I keep toggeling VPN on and off and keep changing locations, eventually it will work. Then, as soon as I try to change location, it stops working again and I have to spend 10 or fifteen minutes toggling on and off before it reconnects properly. The location used does not seem to make any difference to this.
In this case, disable the AVG temporarily using the below link for the steps and check if you are able to access the internet when the AVG Secure VPN is turned on :
