Hi Dinesh,
It's on a laptop with Windows 10. It happens when wired or wireless and when hotspotting with my mobile data. I checked the VPN app on my IoS device and it works perfectly so I can only conculde it's interacting with something in my anti-virus software (also AVG).
Hello all,
I have the AVG VPN but every time I turn it on, regardless of the country I ask it to 'be' in or any other factors I can spot, it instantly blocks internet access, says it can't connect, tries to reconnect and then repeats ad nauseum until I turn it off. Then, the pop up reminder tells me to turn it back on.
Any ideas why or how I fix it? At the moment, I'm paying for something that doesn't work which is really frustrating.
Thanks for any help in advance.
Phil

Did you try to check whether AVG Firewall Network profile is set to "Private"?

We'd suggest you to reinstall AVG Secure VPN once to check if it helps.

Hi,
That link doesn't seem to work. I googled it and have looked in Settings–>Full Protection–>Firewall and it lists my router as public and another that just says network as public (this second one has an ethernet port symbol, I think).
Is that any help? Should my Sky router network be listed as private?
Thanks for your help.
Thank you for replying back to us, Phil.
You can try to access that link in a different browser and check.
We would recommend you to change the Sky router network as Private and then check if it helps.
Thank you.

I followed all of the intructions above. It did not work.
It doesn't ever give an error message. It goes green and says all is well but blocks the internet immediately. Then it searches for the virtual IP address, fails and then restarts the process over and over again until I turn it off.
Hello again,
Still no luck. I've unistalled, reinstalled and tested it thrice but to no avail. It still does the exact same thing.
