AVG VPN does not hide me

Hello Andrew,

I am sorry to hear that. Please send me the screenshot of the exact message you get when you type in "What's my location". So, I can check the same and assist you further.

Hello Andrew,

I appreciate your patience. There are two things to be noted, location is provided by your browser and you have logged to the Google account. This means that not just IP address is used to determine your location. We recommend you to check the new public IP address and it's location.

Yes thank you, however this does not solve the issue of your VPN failing to hide my public address. Also now I am getting 'AVG VPN ran into technical difficulties' error.
The solution is to restart pc or re-install software- really?

I am glad I have availed of the free trial initially, as this software is  a real let-down and would have been a waste of my money.

So, I bought AVG tune-up which works a treat, and decided to trial the VPN option with a view to buying,
So I installed it, restarted browser, which had Google UK page, (I am in Dublin), so that looked promising.
However when I type in 'what's my location', it pinpoints me to within 5 meters!
Some VPN, it's rubbish. How is this happening?
