Ensure whether, the public and private networks are managed in your VPN settings. This will help when you are connected via the wi-fi. Ensure to check whether your current network profile is under public or private. Please check to switch it to Private/public and check the VPN connection.

AVG VPN is blocking access to internet. Internet connection works fine when VPN is switched off. I have windows 7.
