AVG VPN keeps disconnecting despite being on internet

Despite 137 strength signal by cable since yesterday VPN keeps disconnecting. I've uninstalled and reinstalled and not helped. You cant speak to anyone as far as i can see. Live chat doesn't work and phone US? VPN been working OK since day 1 until yesterday. Any ideas? I'm not a techno person but need it to work as was hacked a few years back that cost my £2000. Thanks
