AVG VPN not compatible with Sage 50

Please let us know the location (server) to which you're connected through Secure VPN, your geolocation (physical location), what happens exactly while accessing Sage with Secure VPN enabled. Do you receive any error message?
If so, share us the sreenshot of it for better clarity. 
In the meantime, please try to connect to different servers in Secure VPN to check if it helps.

Does anyone know if there is a way to run Sage 50 with the VPN on? It works if I turn off the VPN but that is really defeating the purpose as Sage is an accounting program and I do need to reference my online banking quite often.
