AVG VPN Not no connection

I have been a long time user of AVG and have recently done an update and now my VPN won't work.  It keeps coming up with no connection error.  I have tried changing locations, I have uninstalled and re installed but nothing fixes it.  Please help???

Please follow the steps suggested in this https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlName=AVG-Troubleshoot-DNS&supportType=home article. 
If it doesn't help, reinstall your AVG Secure VPN application again and check the status.

I have already tried this without success. Any other suggestions?
