Could you please let us know whether you are connected to the Internet via mobile data or via wi-fi?
Please check to switch the network connection and check the AVG app.
In the meantime, check to quit and reopen your AVG app.
After the reopen, check to see if all the shields are turned on.

I noticed when I try to update my on my iPad , it is very slow.
Here is what I have on the machine:
1. AVG security (purchased); Hostspot shield (purchased)
2. In my setting>VPN : Status connected
AVG Web Protection
Hostspot Shield VPN
Personal VPN some times connected /some times not connected
AVG Mobile security
Hotspot Shield
Am I missing something here? or there is any conflict?
