Hello
I need to connect a WIFI camera to get remote acces and control but there is no network available except through 4G in the area where the camera is. I understand a 4G/ WIFI router can do the job but needs a VPN to manage the camera IP . Then here are my 2 questions:
- Is it possible to apply AVG VPN on a modem Router 4G WIFI and how?
- does someone who already solved this problem with a camera can share experience?
Thanks
Hello Francois,
Thank you for reaching AVG Support Community.
We're glad to help you.
AVG Secure VPN can't be connected through modem/router, however you can install the AVG Secure VPN on your computer and connect through the encrypted secure VPN servers.
In order to enable the local devices access in the AVG Secure VPN, please follow the below steps,
1) Open the AVG Secure VPN.
2) Click on the Menu > Settings.
3) Turn on the "Enable local device access when using VPN".
Thank you for your understanding.

Hello Hari
thank you for your answer.
If I understand well the solution you mention, my computer IP is used to acces to the camera via VPN so I need my computer always ON at the location where my camera is. Is it correct?
Thank you for your help
Francois, we do have a option to enable to local device access through AVG Secure VPN servers, hence I've provided steps to enable it, so that your local devices can be connected without any VPN restrictions.
If you face any difficulties or need assistance, please let us know, we will certainly help you with the additional support.
Thank you.
