AVG VPN Problems loading internet sites

Hi Peter.
Sorry for the delay in responding. I'd like to inform you that some websites detect and block traffic through VPN connections. This is not an issue with VPN application but with the website vendor.
Are you unable to load all websites or particular websites?

It is now over a week since you told me that you would get back to me about my connection problems with AVG VPN and I have heard nothing at all from you. I now believe that you have no answer to this problem. Since 19th August 2019 when I reported that the current situation is unworkable for me I have received nothing from you that would help me to resolve the problem. I wish therefore to cancel my Subscription for AVG VPN and I would like a refund for the remaining period for which you have charged me. Please do not auto renew in 2020. I look forward to receiving details from you of when I can accept my refund.
Regards,
Peter

Hello again,
I can confirm that I only have a problem with the VPN connected. If I turn VPN off then everything is good. All internet sites load in seconds and my speeds are fast. Reconnecting VPN causes all of the problems to return immediately. I tried turning off AVG Internet Security and with VPN connected the problem is the same. If I disconnect the VPN then the problem disappears so it seems that AVG Internet Security does not influence the problem. Today I could not connect to Ebay while using the VPN. The message displayed was "rover.ebay.co.uk's server IP address could not be found" and "DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN"
Thanks,
Peter

Hi there,
Do you have any answer for me yet about the AVG VPN connection problems?
Thanks,
Peter

Hello Peter,

We are sorry to know that.
Did you turn off AVG Secure VPN and check whether the issue with websites are resolved?
We request you to turn off AVG Internet Security program as mentioned in this article and see whether there are any changes in accessing the websites.
By doing this, we shall confirm whether AVG Internet Security is the reason behind this or not.
Keep us informed about the status.

Ever since the June 2019 Update I have had problems loading internet pages while using AVG VPN. I contacted support in July 2019 about the problem and was told it is normal for an internet connection to be slower while using the VPN  "depending on the distance and capacity of the server". I have persevered with this delay in loading pages and tried switching locations etc but have found no improvement. In some cases now some pages just do not load. I sometimes have "resolving host" displayed in the bottom left corner of my screen for what seems an eternity before anything happens and sometimes I just get a screen message saying "This site can't be reached" and "www.google.com's IP address could not be found" "ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED". I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling and resetting my network adaptor but nothing gives me any improvement. Before the June 2019 Update, my connection was a little slower with the VPN connected but at least everything worked. Can you please help with my problem as the current situation is unworkable for me.
Thanks,
Peter

Hi,
I am based in the UK. I have tried all of the UK connections with the same bad result. I have also tried connections in the USA and Cananda along with othe European sites e.g. Spain, Madrid France, Paris and Germany, Frankfurt. All have the same problem for me. My problem is not with upload/download speeds, it is with making the connection to a website and, if a connection can eventually be made, I have the same problems opening any links on that website. As I have previously said, before your June 2019 update I could use the VPN. It slowed some download/upload speeds considerably depending on the location used but before the update it was acceptable. The VPN now on my PC has problems making an Internet connection.
Thanks,
Peter
