I have tried several P2P locations and the highest speeds I obtained were less than choosing Auckland which gave me 120Mbps down and 130Mpbs up.
HI Colin,
We understand your concern.
You may experience a slower internet connection when using AVG Secure VPN. This is because a VPN encrypts traffic and data before sending it to a server. Depending on the distance and capacity of the server, this process may cause a slightly slower, but safer, internet connection.
Since there is huge difference in the speed , we request you to connect with P2P servers in AVG Secure VPN and check for the issue again.
Keep us posted.
I have just installed high speed fibre internet and until I disable VPN, I can only achieve download speeds of ~ 100 Mbps. Once disabled the speed goes up to >700Mbps.
Is there any way of stopping the VPN restricting the download speed?
I have uninstalled and re-installed the app with no improvement. Unfortunately I couldn't find anywhere to insert my key so ended up with a 7 day trial. Hopefully I will be able to enter the key later.
Colin, we could not find your paid subscription under your account.
Hence, we have sent you an email and requested you to share the code.
Please revert to our email without changing its subject.
Thank you.
Thanks for that. How do I connect "with P2P servers"?
Thank you for verifying it, Colin.
Please uninstall and install the app again to check if the issue persists.

Colin, please click on the location in the AVG Secure VPN.
These are the P2P locations in VPN:
Prague, Czech Republic
Frankfurt, Germany
Amsterdam, Netherlands
New York City, New York
Miami, Florida
Seattle, Washington
London, United Kingdom
Paris, France
Choose the location and check for the issue again.

You could look under my proper email account - (email address removed). I changed from my gmail account some time ago. I don't seem to be able to copy the code from the webpage and it is a very long number which I find pointless to waste time copying out longhand and putting it in here.
Colin, please do not share your email address on a public forum.
We have sent an email to *****@gmx.com with instruction on how to activate AVG Secure VPN.
Please revert to our email if you need further assistance.
Thank you.
