AVG VPN Very slow. Impossible to use this way

Hello Marc.
We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Could you do a speed test with VPN connection turned on and off? Please take screenshots of both scenarios and share them here. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

In general, internet speed can drop due to various factors such as the protocol that's being used, the layer of encryptions, how powerful is the hardware, and so on. Secure VPN also has to connect to our VPN servers, go through secure tunnels, encrypt and decrypt all data sent and received. This can affect the speed, as well.

Since subscibing to AVG VPN my internet slowed down to an unacceptable speed. Sometimes it takes 20 to 30 seconds for a local newssite to load. Some sites are unreachable because of time out…
I tried almost all the differen locations. Some are a bit better but after even a few minutes they slow down too. I read multiple times on the forum that "slowing down" is normal. But this is not "slowing down", this is "not working at all". I cancelled my subscription but unless I buy another VPN I paid a fair amount of money for using something for a few days that doesn't work. Are there solutions I don't know of? By the way, once I turn off the AVG VPN my internet is super fast. I don't use WiFi, it's all cables…
