May I know whether you receive any error message while updating the Firefox browser? Did you disable AVG and update the browser?
To disable AVG temporarily, right click on AVG icon under system tray next to clock, click on toggle bar to disable it and check if that fixes the issue.

The following problem with my computer
Win10, Firefox 67.0.2 and AVG Internet Security have problems updating from Firefox 67.0.1 to 67.0.2. All passwords are gone, or in my profile folder of AVG the login file is rewritten.
What do I have to change the settings in AVG so it does not do this anymore or will there be an update ??
Would like to keep AVG, with everyone in the forums say you do not need it anymore.
