Thank you, Alan. I wasn't aware I could post the screeshots here.
To refesh: Logitech has an option for smooth scrolling in a web browser. It enables smooth scrolling in Firefox. When I choose the option, AVG tells me it's a poorly rated Firefox add-on, and wants to remove it. If I allow it to be removed, I still have control of my keyboard and mouse, but have lost the Logitech software link-up and programming options.
The problem occurs every day where AVG wants to remove my Logitech Keyboard and Mouse Control software from Firefox. I did as I was advised: Menu > Settings > Privacy and unclicked the two options. Here is a screenshot. Apparently, the problem isn't in either of the unclicked options for 'Other Products' or 'Third Party Products.'
John, please share us the screenshot http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot of the pop-up you received from AVG regarding "Logitech add ons".
We will check the same and escalate this case to our senior team.
About every two weeks AVG pops up a notice to tell me it's found two programs that should be removed. One of them is a Firefox ad-on. The other is my Logitech program that is needed for my mouse and keyboard. It's a propriety program, and should not be picked out for removal. And I do use the Firefox ad-on. The first time this happened, I allowed it to delete the two programs because I thought they might contain viruses. Because of this I lost aspects of control over my mouse and keyboard, and had to reinstall the Firefox ad-on. I need to way to stop AVG from trying to remove them
Here is the screen capture of the pop-up I get. It hasn't happened for three of four days, now.
Hello John,
Let's work together to fix it. Please reinstall your applications and check if you still receive the detection message. If so, share the screenshot http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Create-screenshot of those messages to escalate it further.
John, If applicable… For your info, just in case that you are unaware, you can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

Thank you so much.
We request customers to uncheck both 'Other Products' and 'Third Party Products' option in AVG Internet Security to stop campaign pop ups from AVG and other 3rd party programs and not to stop pop ups for poor rated browser add-on.
The rating for browser add-on is given by the customers who use those add-ons on daily basis. As customers provided poor rating for that Firefox add-on it shows up while scanning the PC with the AVG security program. The only way is to ignore the alert from AVG program if you wish to use the add on on your browser.
Thank you for the screenshot.
The issue regarding "logitech add on" is fixed.
Please provide the screenshot http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot of the "Firefox add on" message to assist further.

Your patience is much appreciated in this matter.
That makes no sense to me. Nobody is rating the Logitech program. They may be rating Firefox add-ons, but Logitech is not an add-on. Why can't the AVG program be made to accept this?
I have other Firefox add-ons but none of these are rated by AVG. It only rates Logitech which is a stand alone proprietary program. Logitech enables any browser to use smooth scrolling. AVG needs to look into this matter and correct it.
