AVG WATCHDOG freezing machine, as per other threads

I am having a similar (same?) issue.

I get a series of messages beginning with
2016-10-12 23:53:59.736 Phase 0 : Starting Watch Dog Initialization

and ending with

2016-10-12 23:54:58.835 Phase 1 : finished.

on a black screen (Windows 10 running on Toshiba Satellite  P875-S7200).

PAY ATTENTION NOW:

1. THERE IS NO WAY to start the computer in SAFE MODE. Won't do it. Doesn't matter how many times I've tried.

2. I CANNOT successfully download the AVG rescue file onto a stick (USB flash drive) because it insists I buy WinZip which should not be necessary.

3. I DO NOT HAVE a CD burner on my newer computer which I have tried to use to download the rescue file onto my USB flash drive.

4. I AM ASKING SPECIFICALLY for AVG to RESOLVE this issue without delay as I need the computer for work.

I have run AVG FREE or paid antivirus in one form or another since 2006 and never had an issue on any computer. This has now effectively ruined my computer and is costing me a LOT of money each and every hour that my computer is down. I've already lost a day's work today trying in vain to resolve this issue.

5. SO FAR NOTHING that has been posted by AVG will work. PLEASE DO NOT regurgitate old ineffective information. PLEASE SIMPLY FIX THE PROBLEM YOU CAUSED.

i downloaded your 742 installer, to make the avg 2015 as 2016.
i ran that.
it updated AVG to the 2016    16.111.xxxx version.

i then did a reboot, and the WATCHDOG screen did not come up, but that does not indicate total resolution, because it was intermittent (but frequent) before.
I will continue to reboot and monitor.
I did NOT go to safe mode initially to uninstall, since trying the updater did allow the updater to run.

aVG WATCHDOG - freezing machine at bootup - machine starts, black screen comes up, states initialized and started, but then stays frozen at that black screen.
see this trhread for images

AVG watchdog software freezing my HP laptop with Windows 10, busting the PC.

ONE machine of mine is doing this frequently;  others are intermittent.
but this is NEW, over the past month or so, and I've been a regular AVG PAID user, but am about to ditch AVG unless a solution to this is found

PROBLEM - RESCUE CD cannot be used, BECAUSE these systems are encrypted with bitlocker and/or Veracrypt, so can't boot into the c: drive with the AVG CD, because the drive is encruypted;
i would need a repair tool that runs WITHIN windows.

the encryption is not what is causing the AVG WATCHDOG issue, as I've had encryption on these machines for many years, with NO issue.

any help with this is appreciated.

Hello Nicholas,
Thank you for your patience. Could you confirm whether you tried to boot your PC to safe mode ( http://avgclick.me/rebootintosafemode ) and uninstall AVG there or not?

Thank you for the information, Nicholas.
We are glad to see that you are able to boot your windows normally with AVG installed and working fine. Please, feel free to let us know if you require any further assistance. Thank you.
