AVG Watchdog has locked me out

Hello William, do you have any other anti-virus programs like McAfee installed in your Computer?

I was installing the HP monitor (HPw1907v) driver/software in Windows XP, and restarted the pc. When the pc returns, it goes to a blue screen and which says:

Avg install path; C:program Files\AVG\AVG2014<br>
Avg Watchdog initializing…
…7 lines of text (Phase 0)

Avg Watchdog starting…

Avg Watchdog started… 

…8 lines of text  (Phase 1)
ending with "finished"

It stays on the blue screen and doesn't want to resolve whatever.

I've since tried to start in Safe Mode, and also downloaded the AVG Rescue CD to a disc, but whenever it starts into windows it goes back to the blue screen. 
So it has me locked out.
Can anyone help?
