Avg Watchdog preventing startup

Teresa, This issue is probably caused by outdated Logitech drivers and is unconnected with AVG software.

Upon starting up my computer (which runs on windows xp) it won't load past this AVG Watchdog initialization. It says Phase 1 finished at bottom of the screen but just stays on that screen. I need to know how to move forward from here.
