AVG WatchDog preventing startup

It's really interesting that you keep pointing to Logitech and telling it is unconnected with AVG software… If you dont have AVG this problem does not exist, so how is that unconnceted?.
So it would suit you much better if you'd develop a solution for your faulty software and give those of your users that are NOT fed up with you a decent update.

I just pulled out the HDD and insert it on a hd reader. Then I just erase AVG 2015 folder. AVG is shit. I prefer bitdefender

Thanks Josiah! It worked for me, | AVG

Hello Tim and everyone,
I recently had this same issue-where my screen would load to the Watchdog initialization and nothing else after.
To get to Safemode in WIndows 10- I had to remove the batthery and use power cord:
I would start computer and unplug the power cord when Dell Icon would show upon start up.
I did this 7- 10 times, then leave power in and your computer should go to 'Recovery Mode' in which you should have options to restart in safemode.
From another computer I downloaded AVG uninstaller to a USB- Install AVG on your PC, Mac | AVG installation files
Then I plugged USB in and dragged AVG uninstaller tool to my C drive and opened it, and successfully uninstalled AVG, when then allowed me to boot my computer normally.
I hope this helps!

I am getting the same exact error on startup. its impossible to take a screenshot to send because this doesn't let me get to any programs. I have to manually shut the computer off and start again - sometimes 6 or 7 times - before it actually boots up. This is really getting annoying and I hope you guys have figured out a way to eliminate this problem by now.

The spacebar is not skipping the scan nor allowing me to boot in safe mode.

Hello,

My laptop started having the same issue a couple of hours ago.  I have attempted to start in safe mode unsucessfully.  It has gone through Phase 1, and now I have a message AVE Watchdog service power event received: 10.  How do I resolved this issue ASAP?

Hello Tim,
We regret for the inconvenience caused.Could you please send the screenshot of your error messages so that we can assist further? Please click on the following link http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-create-a-screenshot  to send the screen shot and also we request you to confirm whether you have been installed AVG paid version or a free version and also mention your product name. Thank you.

Upon starting up my computer (which runs windows 10) it won't load past this AVG Watchdog initialization (which I don't remember downloading or agreeing to). It says Phase 1: finished at the bottom of the screen and stays like that.

Hello Mario,
Please be informed Microsoft has confirmed that the issue is being caused by the Logitech drivers and is unconnected with AVG software. We request you to update or reinstall the Logitech drivers and check whether it resolves the issue.
If you are facing any issues with updating the drivers we request you to contact Logitech support to analyze the issue.
Thank you.

I am unable to restart in safe mode, but i'm given boot options upon startup. They include legacy boot, UEFI boot, secure boot as well as some others.
No that is not one of of options
I am having this same problem, too.  I cannot do anything but shut the laptop off and back on again.  Ita takes forever, but gets to that Watch Dog screen.  It does nothing else.  F8 - Shift F8 - F11 - Space Bar - nothing works!  I have trying to fix it for a few hours.  I made the rescue flash drive, but that doesn't help since I cannot get to any screens.  I should not have to pay for support help nor should I have to take this to a store to get it fixed.  You need to put up step-by-step directions for us to fix this at home.
Hello Beckie,
We are sorry to know that the issue still persists, after trying all those steps. If you have tried the safe mode as well then in this case, we suggest you to let the AVG Watchdog initialization scan run till it gets complete, please stay on this screen till the scan gets complete, this may take from minutes to hours to complete. Please stay patient and once the scan gets complete, you will be able to use your computer as usual.
Thank you.

I am having the same issues as everyone.  My scan is complete and my pc is completely frozen.  I"m not able to access anything on my pc.   AVG, regardless of my free version, I need a fix for this?  Your software, while otherwise reliable as made my PC unusable.   The rescue CD does not work as I cannot access anything on my PC.   Please advise.
Thanks, I will try to contact them.
