Hello - I'm also having the same issue. Window 10, 8GB RAM, 2.4GHz intel i7 (pretty much the same). Every time I start up the laptop watchdog takes 100% of the disk Was there a fix for this? Thanks…
I have AVG Antivirus Pro and the AVG Watchdog Service (32-bit) is using all of my disk, slowing down my laptop and chewing through my batttery. It often runds up to 145 MB/s causing the disk to run at 100%.
My Laptop is Windows 10, 8GB RAM, 2.4GHz intel i7 with a 120GB SSD.
Can you please help me fix this?
Cheers,
Daniel
Hello Daniel,
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused.
This AVG watchdog is a known issue and our developers are almost in final stage to find the fix.
By following basic troubleshooting method we can fix the issue.
We request you to unplug all the external devices that are connected to your CPU via USB ports.
Please restart your PC and press Esc or F8 keys repeatedly and check whether you get the "BOOT" screen.
If it doesnt resolves the issue we would request you to use the AVG Rescue Cd using the instructions on the article http://avgread.me/1Md2imU and check whether you could login into your PC.
Thank you.
