AVG web shelled will not let me log into pages

We are aware of this iCloud login issue on Safari which is a bug and that's why we requested you to add it to exception list. This will be fixed in the upcoming update of 18.3. Your patience is much appreciated.

We regret the inconvenience, you can add this page to the exception list as suggested below:

edit file /Library/Application Support/AVGAntivirus/config/com.avg.proxy.excl

add line with exception, example *avg.com https (space between *avg.com and https needs to be done by tab. button)

After editing this file MAC needs to be restarted.

Hi, after updating to 10.13.4 AVG has been stopping me from getting to safe pages like apple page them self. switching it off lets me log in. 
Is there a known problem? 
this is a problem on both my computers that have avg on.

why has this happened? it was working fine before the update. and doesn't block on chrome etc.
