AVG Web Shield Prevents JavaScript Time Calculator from Working Properly

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to troubleshoot an issue that only occurs when AVG Internet Security is enabled.

A JavaScript-based work hours calculator loads normally, but after AVG Web Shield starts scanning HTTPS traffic, the calculator stops updating its results. The page itself loads without errors, but changing the start or end time no longer triggers the calculation until I refresh the page.

I’ve tested this on multiple browsers, cleared the cache, and disabled all browser extensions. The issue only appears while AVG protection is active.

The work hours calculator site: https://mauricettecalcul.fr/

Before reporting it as a false positive, I’d like to know whether AVG Web Shield can interfere with JavaScript execution or block specific scripts without displaying a warning.

Has anyone experienced similar behavior, and is there a recommended way to identify which AVG component is causing it?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for providing the troubleshooting steps. Since you’ve already ruled out browsers and extensions, this does sound like something related to AVG’s web protection.
