This is now 3 Jan 2017. I just downloaded and installed AVG Free, trying to also install AVG Web Tuneup. My browser if Mozilla Firefox, and I get exactly the problem that Susan Kercher reported one year ago (see this thread). Yet in his last post (Oct 31, 2016) you claimed that this issue "is now resolved. It is confirmed by our developers". How come, then, that it still does not work? I have now tried at least three times, uninstalling all AVG applications in between and have wasted considerable time with no positive result. What is wrong? Can you please clarify and help? (I am using Windows 7, if that is of relevance.)
I subscribed to AVG Performance multidevice which includes Web TuneUp. Whenever I open AVG Zen I see a message that Web TuneUp is not activated and when I look for further details it says "Plugin is not installed in your default web browser: Mozilla Firefox. Restart your browser and allow AVG Web TuneUp to install." with a box next to it that says Restart Browser. When I click on that box nothing happens. I've had this since May 2015 and nothing I've tried has worked to activate Web TuneUp. This was part of a paid 1 year subscription to AVG Performance Multidevice and I'd really like to be able to activate and use it. Any help would be much appreciated.
It is now Halloween and it appears that the issue is not resolved. It would be appreciated to get a definitive answer on whether this will be addressed or left as a non option.
I am having the same problem. Not supporting Firefox is nonsense especally when Chrome and IE track and report more than Firefox. Firefox is by far the best browser there is and if it's not supported why does the plug in install? My only suggestion is to remove the plugin and not use the AVG Web tune up until AVG resoves the issue. My Ultimate Subsription has a year to go. If this isn't resolved by then I'll stop supporting AVG and turn to another paid similar service.
I would have been nice to know that before I subscribed. I prefer Firefox as my default web brower which is why I don't have Google Chrome or Internet Explorer set as such. It doesn't seem right to have to change from what I prefer in order to use AVG web tuneup; especially when I wasn't informed that I would need to do so before I subscribed to it.
Hello Ernst,
We understand your concern. Please be informed that the AVG Web TuneUp will be installed automatically when you install it from AVG Zen interface. Please make sure that you have Mozilla firefox set us your default web browser and have the latest version installed. If you have latest version and default browser. The Web TuneUp add on should be already installed in your browser. You just have to enable the installed extension.
Thank you

Hi, thank you for your answer. I went to the "Add-ons" window in Firefox, checked "Get add ons", "Extensions" and "Plugins", searching for AVG, but get only "AVG do not track" and "AVG Safe Price". "AVG Web Tuneup" is not listed there as available for Firefox - so I can't install it from there either. Is there no way to get Web Tune up to work with Firefox?

Hello Ernst-August,
Sorry to know that you have issues in activating AVG Web tune up.
You will be able to install and activate AVG Web tune up in Mozilla Firefox.
You need to activate AVG Web tune up add-in in Firefox.
Please try to add AVG Web tune up extensions in browser.
Thank you.
Hello Susan.
