AVG webtuneup removal

Hello Kishore
I tried many times yesterday to remove webtuneup from Control Panel but it would not, today it did remove it BUT when I go to Program Files and try to remove it from there, I am told I "…cannot because it is open elsewhere … "  In fact NOTHING else is open.  I then open ZEN and I see that webtuneup is only Disabled and it wants to me Enable it which I refuse to do.   NEXT MOVE IS … ?.              philip

As you did not answer my message of Dec 25, I assumed that what I wrote was the way to go.
I got rid of PCTuneup and Internet Security and then Zen, after which I got rid of Zen.
The first two prorgams were then re-installed successfully but Zen will not be reintroduced by choice.
It is a superfluous product.       Avg has only 3 months remaining in my current subscription so don't be surprised if I have gone elsewhere after that time.  You are definitely going downhill in the last 1.2 yrs in my experience.

Hello Philip,
We kindly request you to follow the instructions on the article http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-uninstall-AVG-Toolbar-homepage-and-Secure-Search-from-your-browser to uninstall the AVG WebTuneUp program and check whether it resolves the issue.
Thank you.

I have followed this tread for some time and each time I finish up with a FAILED ATTEMPT.
The program is still there. All your platitudes and solutions are as USELESS AS A RECTUM ON A ROCKING HORSE.  Stop sending private emails to people with the same problem and tell everyone what the real solution is.  Perhaps avg should employ real people like they use to have.
HOW DO I GET RID OF AVG WEBTUNEUP ??? - PERMANENTLY  !!!

This is a repeat of what I have already done and it still fails - did you read what I originally wrote ?
I have also afew minutes ago tried avg shredder but it won't let me do that either.
I presume that your next piece of advice will be to uninstal ALL my avg products and re-instal ?
Such a move will be really annoying.

Hello Philip,
We kindly request you to try closing all the browsers and try uninstalling the AVG WebTuneUp program and check whether you could uninstall the WebTuneUp program.
Thank you.

I am still awaiting a reply to the above mail
