AVG whole computer scan not working

Earlier this evening I started a Whole Computer Scan. The scan reached 100% and found 2 threats. Then it moved to "Finishing." Now, it has been stuck at "Finishing" for over 3 hours. What is going on and what should I do?

I would have you know that I am not so foolish as to post multiple postings of the same question for no good reason, least of all with the intention of getting a quicker answer. When I posted the question the first time, I got a message that said "Insufficient privileges." This sort of message had never shown up on previous occasions when I had posted questions. Assuming that the post had not gone through because of the message, I posted the question again, and once again I got the same message with no assurance that the message had gone through. Thinking that it might be a problem with the browser I was using (Microsoft Edge), I decided to try posting the question in Internet Explorer, and once again, I got the same "Insufficient privileges" message.
I do not appreciate the snarky tone of your comments, and I expect far better from AVG support personnel.
