AVG (paid for) will not run a scan after I tried unsuccessfully tried to scan a document from Epson printer, a message popped up asking if I wanted to allow an rtf file (think this was what it was, doing this from memory). I have since deleted this file from documents folder. AVG just has a permanent 'you are protected' but when I click 'scan' all the areas are already ticked and nothing happens so I am worried it is not operating at all. I have had no problems before this.
I have tried following suggestions from scan issues on community forum like uninstalling and returning to default. These work but only once, AVG then reverts back to its current apparent inert state.
Hi, sorry no, it was a one off message asking did I want allow a change for an rtf file to load that I clicked 'yes' to when I was trying to load a scanned document from my Epson printer, then a (blank) rtf doc file appeared in Documents folder. I deleted it when I found it was blank. Thanks.
