I understand how something like this can really try your patience.
Please be informed that once you update your Operating system, there will be some files left over in it. To install AVG back in your pc, we request you to remove all the traces of AVG using AVG remover tool and then install AVG back in your pc your issue will be fixed. To run AVG remover tool for AVG Antivirus please follow the below steps :
Please click on the below link to download remover tool
http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe
Accept the license agreement and then choose AVG Internet Security and remove it.
NOTE: Once the AVG Remover Tool has done with its process. Please go to the drive where you installed this tool and look for a folder named as "AVG Remover" and I request you to delete it manually.

I updated from Windows 8 to 10 and now experiencing difficulties using AVG as the message I get says…
Your app doesn't work with Windows 10
The app you're trying to use was blocked from opening because it might damage your PC or result in loss of data. This is because some apps that worked with a previous version of Windows might not work in the same way with Windows 10.
Go to the support website for the app developer and check whether a new or updated version of this app is available forWindows 10.
Anyone have advice please otherwise I am going to have to remove AVG.
