AVG won@t download email attachments I still iuse XP

Are you receiving an error while trying to download an attachment? If yes, please mention the error message you're receiving to proceed further.
Also, please disable (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?l=en&urlname=Disable-AVG-Antivirus) the AVG and check for the issue status.

I use AVG Ultimate and have several devices. All work well except my XP system. I use mail.com as my email provider and AVG will not allow me to download attachments or even view them. This has only happened since I upgraded.

Can anyone tell me how to change  AVG or its firewall or whatever to get the use of my favoured system and database back.

All advice welcome, I am sure it is a simple issue but frustrating.
